We adore you O Christ and we bless you,
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
主キリスト、あなたを礼拝し、賛美します。
あなたは尊い十字架とご死去をもって、世をあがなってくださいました。
◆Station 3 — Jesus falls the first time ／イエス、十字架の下に初めて倒れる
Though he was the Son of God,
Jesus did not deem equality with God something to be grasped at.
神の御子でありながら、
イエスは神と等しい者であることに固執しようとは思わず、
Rather, He emptied himself by taking the very nature of a savant,
being made in human likeness.
かえって自分を無にして、しもべの身分になり、
人間と同じ者になられました。
Becoming obedient, even to death, death on a cross.
死に至るまで、それも十字架の死に至るまで従順でした。（ピリピ2:6-8）
Lord, when I fall — when I sin or make a mistake — I always hope nobody else noticed.
When you fell there was a whole crowd watching.
And yet you went on your mission to save us all.
Kowing that you have come to love and to save
and not to condemn gives me the courage to acknowledge my failings
and to reconcile myself with you and with those I’ve hurt.
主よ、私が倒れる時—私が罪を犯したり、またミスを犯した時—
そのたびに誰にも気づかれないように、と願ってしまいます。
あなたが倒れた時には、その群衆全てがあなたを見ていたのです。
それでもあなたは全人類を救う使命、ミッションに歩まれました。
それは、私達を愛し、救うために、
また非難するためではなく、自分の失敗、欠点を認める勇気を与えるため、

Lord Jesus Crucified, have mercy on us.
十字架にかけられたイエスよ、我らをあわれんで下さい。
