Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
主キリスト、あなたを礼拝し、賛美します。

◆Station 5 — Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry His cross ／キレネ人シモンがイエスの十字架を背負うのを助ける
They compelled a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene,
who was coming in from the country,
the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry His Cross.
そこへ、アレクサンドロとルフォスとの父でシモンというキレネ人が
田舎から出てきて通りかかったので、
兵士たちはイエスの十字架を無理に担がせた。（マルコ15:21）
Those who wish to follow me must take up their cross.
だれでもわたしについて来たい者は、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を背負って、
わたしに従いなさい。(マタイ16:24)
It was Simon, a foreigner in Jerusalem, who was chosen to assist Jesus
in carrying out the Father’s will.
エルサレムにいた外国人であるシモン、彼が、イエスが父の御旨を背負うのを
助けるために選ばれたのでした。
Jesus, you have called each of us to join you in your mission.
Give us the wisdom to hear your call and the grace to respond with generosity and perseverance,
joining our efforts to yours to bring about your kingdom.
イエス様、あなたは私達一人ひとりを、あなたの使命、ミッションに加わるために
召してくださいました。あなたの召しを聞くための知恵を与え、そして寛大に、
また我慢強くその召しに応えられるよう、恵みを与えて下さい。

Lord Jesus Crucified, have mercy on us.
