それでは、十字架の道行き、Station of the crossに入っていきましょう。
◆始めの祈り
We adore you O Christ and we bless you,
because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
主キリスト、あなたを礼拝し、賛美します。
あなたは尊い十字架とご死去をもって、世をあがなってくださいました。
◆Station 1— Jesus is condemned to death / イエス、死刑の宣告を受ける
He was oppressed, and He was afflicted,
yet He opened not his mouth;
彼は迫害を受け、苦しめられた。
しかし彼は口を開かなかった。
Like a lamb that is led to the slaughter and like a sheep
that before its shearers is silent.
ほふり場に引かれて行く子羊のように、
また毛を刈る者の前に黙っている羊のように。（イザヤ53:7）
Pilate brings Jesus before the crowd, sentences Him to death,
and then washed his own hands, claiming that he could find no reason to condemn Jesus.
ピラトはイエスを会衆の前に引き出し、死刑の判決を下した。
そして、イエスに死刑に値する理由を見つけられない、として彼自身の手を洗った。
Lord, when I am misjudged I recognize the injustice immediately
and yet I often find myself ready to judge others or to listen to gossip.
Lord, teach me patience and help me to treat others with openness,
respect and kindness.
主よ、私が不当な理由で誤解されたとすぐにわかる時もありながら、
それでもまだ自分が隣人を裁き、
またゴシップ（うわさ、陰口）に耳を傾けてしまいます。
主よ、どうか私に忍耐を教えて下さい。そして隣人に対して心を広く持ち、
尊敬と親切とをもって接することができるよう助けて下さい。
Lord Jesus Crucified, have mercy on us.
十字架にかけられた主イエスよ、我らをあわれんで下さい。
